The Client's Problem
The client was a high-precision aerospace and automotive components manufacturer receiving over 250 highly customized Requests for Quotes (RFQs) every week. Each RFQ package contained detailed engineering drawings (blueprints), material grade standards, packaging specs, and strict compliance sheets. Technical estimators had to manually cross-reference blueprints with raw material costs and factory machining capacities. This process took 2-3 hours per RFQ, resulting in a backup of over 10 days, causing them to miss key bidding windows and forfeit potential high-margin enterprise contracts.

We engineered an automated RFQ parsing pipeline that extracts technical criteria, references historical pricing APIs, parses PDFs/drawings using specialized vision models, and drafts detailed quotes.
How We Did It
Blueprint Audit & Rule Mapping
We analyzed five years of historical aerospace blueprints and pricing records to map estimator logic. We codified material pricing rules, tolerance metrics, and packaging constraints into an algorithmic pricing matrix.
Multimodal OCR & Vision Pipeline
We engineered a custom document analysis pipeline utilizing Claude 3.5 Sonnet to read manufacturing blueprints. The model extracts text blocks, identifies dimensional drawings, parses material tables, and matches them to active raw metal APIs.
Salesforce CRM Integration
We integrated the pipeline outputs directly with Salesforce. Estimators are presented with a secure validation UI showing the parsed specs next to the draft quote, allowing single-click approval and automated CRM log creation.
